Research scheme
One of the advances of string theory is the AdS/CFT correspondence which establishes a duality between a quantum theory and a gravity theory. This duality is a manifestation of the holographic principle which in a deep sense proposes a universal relation between geometry and information. My research mainly focuses on gravitational holography for a better understanding of the quantum aspects of gravity and black holes. Quantum mechanics shows that black holes are thermodynamical objects. It is desirable to associate a statistical mechanical description if not a full quantum description to these thermodynamical systems. The holographic principle, states that a gravitational system can be equivalent to a system with a lower number of spacetime dimensions. This principle is my major approach to tackling this problem.

Scientific Career
I did my doctoral studies at Sharif Uni. of Tech. and TU Wien. My thesis advisor was Daniel Grumiller. I started a postdoc in TU Wien right after my Ph.D. and then in 2013 moved to Groningen for a new postdoc. In 2015, I started my academic career for five years in IPM, Tehran. I am currently a professor at the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad.
